My experience

Hello, I’m Barbara.  I am a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience working within the NHS and private practice.  I am registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS), the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).

I am qualified to work with a number of presenting problems including, but not limited to, low self esteem, difficulties managing emotions, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety and depression.

Psychological therapies offered

·         Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).

·         Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

·         Schema informed therapy approach.

·         Dialectical Behavioural therapy informed approach (DBT).

I work in a warm, compassionate, gentle way to help you discover how to make changes in your life.  My approach is collaborative and at your pace.  I am continually amazed at the strength and resilience of the people I work with.  I believe that we all have the capacity to heal and live life to our potential.  It would be a privilege to be on your journey with you.
